Kontinuous improvement is required – why not Chrismas. Let us improve the processes. We cancel the tree. To set it up is too much effort. And we cut costs considerably. We cancel the cooking. To fill up 25 persons – we will find professionals for that. Let’s go out for eating! And we make presents to noone. That cuts stress to find something significantly. And the Chrismas Mass? Let’s see them on TV while we eat our presents, because the expensive meal was pretty frugal.
Rationalize is so easy. Why did wie not think of it earlier?
There is only one question left: Is hat still Chrismas – the Chrismas where the whole house smells from the exceptional meal cooked only for this day? – the Chrismas where everyone gives something to everyone, spends a thought and where the finest presents did not even cost a cent? – the Chrismas where we were all just there, at home?
The lesson: pretended improvement might destroy the goal of a process comletely. You find that in corporations or organizations as well. Keep the uniqueness of your company alive – decide about improvement thinking of this important detail.
And remember: Wisdom alters actualities – and reality.
